Our principles

Compliance with laws that affect our activity, with standards of behavior aligned with the company’s values and linked to our business strategy.

Conflicts of interest:

Complete honesty and transparency should be used in situations where personal interests may conflict with the interests of Almeida Junior or its customers, partners, and shareholders. Whenever the situations described below are applicable, they should be reported to the Ethics Committee, which may approve or disallow such acts.

The hiring of Almeida Junior employees’ relatives, competing companies, business partners or service providers, with which there is any potential or actual conflict of interest, provided that it has previously been submitted to the Ethics Committee for evaluation.

All Almeida Junior employees must act with honesty, transparency and integrity. Gifts, entertainment and hospitality should not be provided or received with the intent or effect of obtaining or managing business improperly.

Any type of for-profit professional activity is prohibited at external organizations or companies that may characterize actual or potential conflicts of interest with Almeida Junior. When applicable at non-profit institutions, this must not conflict with the interests of the business. The activity may only be performed provided it has been previously approved by the Ethics Committee.

Publication of texts, lectures, educational activities, interviews or public appearances require the prior approval of the Department Head or the CEO of Almeida Junior, if these are linked to the company’s name in any way. In such cases, the employee must strive to maintain the company’s image.

Any participation in political activities is done on a personal basis, not as a representative of the company.

Any type of act that may characterize bribes, kickbacks, loans or preferential treatment of customers and business partners in exchange for an existing or future business relationship with Almeida Junior is prohibited.

Almeida Junior does not authorize the granting of any advantages and/or privileges of any kind whatsoever, except for promotional gifts, with the company brand and modality, according to the position held, with a value less than R$ 300.00 per year, or giving contributions gifts to government representatives, political parties or candidates for public office, except under the conditions defined by law and provided that such acts have been previously authorized by the Ethics Committee.

Almeida Junior employees cannot make any facilitation payments to government officials, whether directly or indirectly.

All company assets must be used solely and exclusively for the activities of Almeida Junior, and never for personal benefit or use.

Protecting the information of customers and business partners is a priority. Compliance with the Information Security Policy is mandatory, and all records, data and information must be accurate and complete.

We believe that the diversity of people is fundamental to the success of Almeida Junior. Thus, we seek to recruit, develop and maintain the most talented professionals. All employees must advance at Almeida Junior based on their talent and performance, regardless of factors such as race, nationality, beliefs, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or trade union association.

Any type of moral or sexual harassment, or sexual exploitation of children and adolescents is repugnant and incompatible with the values of Almeida Junior. Any conduct that may be characterized as offensive or embarrassing, or that causes any form of psychological stress/trauma to the employee, will not be tolerated.

Almeida Junior respects the laws on freedom of expression, and never intends to prevent any of its employees from expressing themselves freely. However, the use of social media must be done in a conscious and responsible way, in order not to affect the company’s or employee’s image or reputation.

Almeida Junior advises its employees to use their financial resources in a conscious way, keeping their personal finances balanced and avoiding delinquency.

Almeida Junior respects all applicable standards of health and safety in the workplace. The safety of people and appropriate facilities for the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases are some of our main concerns.
